Biki goes to the zoo

Happy Sunday everyone!

Weekend’s almost over, and I feel like I haven’t done a creative thing in forever. With the holiday, I had a whole 4 days off, and I think I was pretty productive. I mean, I guess I built this whole ass sight this weekend, so that should be good enough lol

Yesterday was pretty exhausting (in a good way). My wife and I spent a good portion of the day at the zoo. Neither of us had ever been to the zoon near where we live now, and had a great time, saw all the animals, spent $5+on a bottle of water. But it was soooo hoooot, but it’ll probably be a few months before we could have found a better weekend to do it.

I think the highlight was the jaguar that wanted to absolutely devour this 4 year old. He (the jaguar) was doing his best predator walk, pacing back and fourth in front of the window to the enclosure the zoo has there. Dude did not take his eyes away from that kid.

I feel like zoos are a great way of making all these creatures of the world feel more real to kids, and makes them more curious to learn about them, but I don’t think it does enough to make people fear these animals lol. Like, these kids are just taunting what would otherwise be an apex predator like it’s a fun game. All I’m saying is, if they just like, released a random animal from time to time, let people get the proper respect/fear for these animals, you know?

Anyway, so yeah after that I had a ttrpg session with the group I’ve been playing with for the last 2.5 years. We mostly play D&D, but lately we’ve been playing Daggerheart. It’s a pretty cool system with a lot of ideas that I really like, but I think, for now, I’m going to stick with dnd. We’ll see when the campaign I’m GMing is over.

I think I should wrap this up an actually get to some drawing or something.
